By using the icon you can activate a selection on the entire list of records. When you click on the selection icon, you will see a popup where you can enter the required selection.

You can create selections on the predefined criteria (in the example above: only select records where Department is equal to Syntegro. After clicking the button "Apply" the chosen selection will become activated and you will only see those records which meet the requirements of the chosen criteria. By clicking on the "Clear" button, an active selection will be undone, and you will see all the records again.

If a selection is active in the screen, this will be clearly marked with a red color of the selection icon in the title bar.

Note: You can apply group corrections on an active selection.
