Period results are free definable codes, that are used as a calculator or balance over a period. You can define as many period results as you want. In this way calculations e.g. can be maintained for certain checks, such as the sliding balances plus (+) or minus (-).
Example:
For each period result you can specify the following fields:
•Period result: unique key identifier (unique number), automatically generated; e.g. "101".
•a short description, e.g. "TVAC"
•a long description, e.g. "VACATION total"
•Unit type: the time can be saved in days, day parts (e.g. half days), pieces (e.g. meal vouchers), time in hundredths hours, time in hours, time in minutes, etc.
•the period (daily, weekly, quarter, year, etc.)
•The day of the month applicable to the period result
•Initialisation mode: here "complete history" is mostly selected.
Example: |
This is interesting when e.g. someone is out of service. The period of out of service is no longer counted for that person. When that person happens to come back in service, the service interval that the person was out of service will not be calculated, since there were also no calculations during that time. The other period results of his past however will be calculated. |
•Use results in the future.
Example: |
Use projected period results in a counter balance with the balance planned/performed: |
Scheduled hours + Performed hours (my performances) - Contractual hours (in theory, to perform according to my contract) |
•formulas on how the period result must be calculated in function of:
•1 or more day results, eventually with a formula
•1 or more period results, eventually with a formula
Example:
•Use constraints: this is used in the planning.
•Rule system for "what to do with" at the end of the period:
All possible rule systems are available here to whether or not limited transfer values according to certain conditions, to write out remaining values in a day result at the end of a period, etc.
Example:
Determing what happens the next month with the sliding balances, via the calculator transfer on a day result via a period result.
At the configuration of the system all period results are defined to:
•Visualize and follow up absence rights of employees (these are usually initialized at the beginning of a period)
Example: |
olegal vacation right balance: TVAC
ototal performance balance: TPER
oetc.
•Calculators to keep track of performances based on the calculated day results
Example: |
oplus and minus hours during the week/month balance calculator: WBALANCE, MBALANCE
ocalculator of recovery that keeps track of the overtime to recover: CREC
oetc.
All period results are automatically calculated day by day so that you can see the exact course for each employee. These calculators indicate the evolution according to the effective calculations.
Step 1:
Go to the screen Time/e-HR and click on the tab "Definition results". Next you click on "Period results".
Step 2:
Next you click on the icon .
Step 3:
Add a description to your period result, e.g. ""PERF total".
Here you also enter the other data, like the unit type, the period, etc.
Step 4:
Click on the code(s) that are applicable for the period result in the list "Not selected" and move them to the list "Selected" via the navigation arrows in the middle of the two columns.
Finally you click on , after which this new period result is created. This period result now only contains the results from the selected list.
