Requests absences

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Via the week view or month view you can simply request absences, a bicycle allowance or overtime without launching registrations. Therefore you click on the day number in the calendar:

Absences calendar day selection_English

In the popup that appears you now use the tab "Day result":

Popup absences request_English

Fields Parameters request

Start date – Stop date

Period for which you want to request the code. By default, the system gives the day that you clicked on to get this popup. Some codes will not allow requests over several days.

Category

The category that you want to request.

Day result

The code within the category. This is the type of absence that you want to request (e.g. vacation, seniority, recovery, unpaid vacation, other absence).

Data mode

Here you choose the time. Depending on the chosen code, your choice possibilities will be limited here. (e.g. full day, half day, specify a number of hours).

Comments

Optionally you can enter a comment here for your supervisor, which your supervisor will see with this request.

Automatic control of request conditions

After confirmation the system will execute a number of controls depending on the code to check if all conditions are met (e.g. request for max 7 days in the past, give blood for max 1 time per month, etc.). In case a condition hasn't been met you will get an error message.

If all conditions are met the request will be sent to the supervisor. You will also immediately see your request as open request in the calendar (with the question mark) and in your overview screen with the status "Requested".

Balance update on request

Request codes that influence the balance (e.g. VACATION), will immediately be calculated even if your request hasn't been approved yet.

(is shown on the calendar in the balance overview on the right). This is to avoid that you request more than you are entitled to.

Cancel open requests

As long as a request hasn't been approved yet (see marked with a question mark in the calendar) you can cancel it by simply clicking on the code and canceling it. This will then immediately be removed.

Cancel accepted requests

Deleting an already accepted code you need to request by clicking on the accepted code and confirm it via "cancel". A request will then go to your supervisor to cancel the already approved code. He then first need to approve this "cancel" request.

Examples of what an employee can request

There are several possible codes that can be requested. Here are some examples:

Maternity leave

Towards home because of illness

Give blood

Accident

Displacement by bicycle

Marriage

Death

Overtime

Delete accepted requests

If you click on an already accepted code, clocking, inserted correction on code or schedule, then you can view the details of it, but you can also delete them.
