Employee groups or departments are useful to group the employees in a logical way. By default there is only a "departmental hierarchy" to define, where you can define your departments in the following hierarchical way:
In the definition screen of the employee groups you can define the following fields:
Reference number which is automatically generated by the application.
Description of the department (in the languages that are activated for the user).
Currently you can only indicate "Departmental hierarchy" here.
This field indicates at which level you want to position the current department in the hierarchy (Company, Sub Company, Department, Sub Department).
Here you can specify the parent department in the hierarchy (for example a sub department "Marketing" with the parent group the department "Sales").
