In the screen "Access - Where - Network" the entire hardware configuration of the access control network is defined. Both the controller items (SynApp controller, SynCon door controllers) as the specific barriers that are controlled (door, turnstile, gate, walking street, etc).
For each item you can fill in the specific properties of this item in the detail screen.
All components and their parameters were configured here at the installation of your system, so that you normally don't have to apply changes or additions here. In the left overview screen (network tree) you can however access an entire overview of your access control hardware configuration.
When connecting new network components (SynApp, SynCon) these automatically appear in the left list, after which you can further configure them. In the left list you also immediately have an indication if all network elements function well.
Network elements which can not communicate with higher levels (which are offline) are indicated with an icon, other mistakes are indicated via the
icon (like the 2 SynCon controllers for example in the screen above).
You can find more information about the configuration of the different network elements in the following items. Normally the network is fully configured after installation and you don't have to change anything to it.
The following items are in this way more likely intended for system administrators and/or installers:
•General
•Access control
•Time registration
•Connections
•Status
In these choices you can define a number of groups which are network related and which are especially useful as a filter in reports and the real-time monitors.
In the detail screen of a selected network item, the upper part is identical for all network items.
Unique key identifier (unique number) in the network, automatically created.
Unique id of the higher-level network item. For the highest element (SynApp) this is 0.
Type of network item: SynApp, SynCon, Door, Reader, etc.
Depending on the type of network item this is used or not. This index will also always be automatically defined.
For SynApp, Protocol channel, Syncon: not used, always 0.
For Barriers: Indicates how many barriers connected to 1 SynCon this is (value from 1 up to 4).
For Readers: Indicates to which Wiegand interface of the SynCon this reader is connected (value 1 or 2).
Description of the network item as it appears in the choice lists and in the left list.
