Tab Extra Info

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

This tab contains a lot of used fields where you can save extra information about the employee, such as the address, zip code, city, etc. Most of these fields are self explanatory and are therefore not further discussed here.

The following fields are being specially treated in the SynCore application, and therefore require an extra explanation:

Company

Company to which the defined employee belongs. This field is normally only used for employees of the working class "Visitor" or "Interim" (see further). For permanent employees the field "department" will be more frequently used. You can select companies from the choice list of the predefined companies, or you can define extra companies via the icon icon add company_English behind the fill out field. Companies can also be managed via the special screen "Companies".

Active

This field indicates if the selected employee is active. Only active employees are included in the SynGuard and SynPeople. Not active employees will not have access and will not be processed in the time registration. A non active employee may however be a user of the system.

Non active employees will also not count for the determination of the maximum number of employee licenses of SynGuard and SynPeople. However, you can still consult the history of these employees.

Access Control

This field indicates if the selected employee is active for access control. Non active employees for access control will not have access.

Non active employees for access will also not count for the determination of the maximum number of employee licenses. You can however still consult the history of these employees.

Time and attendance

This field indicates if the selected employee is active for time registration. Non active employees for time registration will not be processed in the time registration.

Non active employees for time registration will also not count for the determination of the maximum number of employee licenses. You can however still consult the history of these employees.

Date in service - Date out of service

This date indicates the period in which an employee is employed. In case an employee is out of service (for example because the date out of service is exceeded), he will no longer have access to SynGuard, and the time registration data will also not be calculated in SynPeople.

Employees who are not employed will also not count for the determination of the maximum number of employee licenses of SynGuard and SynPeople.

Holidays - Special days

One can assign a "calendar day group" to each employee, both for holidays and special days. If defined, another access rule and another time registration processor (depending on the access profile and the work plan definitions) can be applied to this group of days.

Language Group

Here you can enter the language or group of languages to the employee. This is mainly important when the employee is also a user of the application. The application will then be presented in the language which is chosen as main language (English, Dutch, French). Also if you choose an additional language, this user will also be able to enter the descriptions in the definition of certain records (for example zones, access profiles, etc.) in multiple languages. This last remark is obviously only important if you have users who use a different language.

Department

Here you can select from the choice list the department to which an employee belongs. The department itself can be built up in a hierarchical structure up to 4 levels deep (default definition). The departments itself are being defined in the screen employee groups.

Employee Class

One can for information assign an employee to the class "normal employee", "visitor" or "interim". Employees defined of one type "visitor" will also appear in the visitor screens. Defined visitors via the visitor screens will also appear here, with of course as employee class the type "visitor".
